Gone Girl spends the first half of the movie building a gripping psychological case against a man (Ben Affleck) who may have killed his wife (Rosamund Pike). Then, it hits an interesting twist that causes an uneven pace and tone until it reaches a somewhat unsatisfying conclusion. That being said, Rosamund Pike puts on an amazing performance, and the movie is still worth seeing.
